How do we build learning environments that genuinely improve people's lives — and how do we know it's working? That question has guided 20 years of work in instructional design, program strategy, quality assurance, and academic innovation across one of the nation's most recognized online programs.

Ministry & Community Service
Twenty years of leadership and service outside the professional environment — in a local church, in the foster care system, and on an athletic field. These experiences have shaped my understanding of human development, perseverance, and what it means to genuinely invest in the lives of others.
- Coach and develop student-athletes in soccer and basketball — teaching skills, strategy, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
- Mentor student-athletes beyond the field — building relationships that help students develop confidence, character, and leadership.
- Integrate Christian values into the athletic environment — modeling faith, integrity, humility, service, perseverance, and respect.
- Support students holistically — encouraging academic success, communicating with parents, and helping athletes balance sport, school, and faith.
- Provided spiritual leadership — helped guide the church's vision, direction, and overall spiritual health across a 13-year tenure.
- Shepherded and cared for members through life challenges — offering counsel, encouragement, and prayer.
- Participated in major church decisions involving ministries, finances, staffing, and institutional initiatives.
- Mentored pastors, ministry leaders, and volunteers while identifying and equipping future leaders for service.
- Planned and led weekly youth meetings — organizing activities, discussions, games, worship, and lessons for middle and high school students.
- Taught and mentored youth through Bible studies and devotionals, helping students connect faith to everyday life.
- Built lasting relationships with students — listening, encouraging, and providing guidance through formative years.
- Organized retreats, service projects, mission trips, and social activities that built community and character.
- Provided a safe, stable home — offering children a secure environment with consistent routines, care, and unconditional support over a decade of service.
- Supported children through trauma — building trust, offering patience, and helping children develop the resilience needed to grow and heal.
- Collaborated with caseworkers, schools, therapists, and biological families to support each child's unique permanency plan.
- Co-founded Open Homes Ohio — a nonprofit providing resources, community, and advocacy for foster families across the region. openhomesohio.org
Discoverly — A Discipleship App
Discoverly is a discipleship app I designed to help church members live out the mission of the sermon all week long. Rather than letting Sunday's message fade by Monday morning, Discoverly turns each sermon or homily into weekly missions a congregation can walk out together — in groups, or privately.
The pastor or priest approves every mission before anyone sees it, keeping the content tied to their specific message and context — not a generic devotional. Currently in active pilot phase with partnering churches.
